The 2020 Summit was just the beginning. The more substantial and critical task is to advance the process by building consensus, by continually developing engagement and cooperation between traditionally divided streams, factions and ideologies. Join us for a free seminar featuring twenty Summit delegates who will report on their impressions from the Summit proceedings and consider pragmatic steps forward to identify and achieve Australia’s goals. Come early to enjoy lunch - your own or from Tognini's Cafe - outside the State Library's beautiful new building. Panellists include Julianne Schultz, Michael Wesley, Michael Good, George Williams, Matt Foley and many more.

Magda's Fascination with Wax Cats
is a wild ride through feral country filtered through Magda's foggy glasses. It is poetic and unpleasant, sensual and scary and puts a beautiful frame around a brutal life. It is a play for escapists, curious cats and anyone who's ever run away with their imagination until reality catches up. Griffith REVIEW subscribers who receive the Griffith REVIEW newsletter are entitled to special give-aways of tickets. Email griffithreview@griffith.edu.au to sign up or subscribe now.

PARTNER EVENT:

Southern Cross Soloists with Special Guest: Timothy Ashton

Griffith Conservatorium Theatre

South Bank, Brisbane
6.30pm. Tickets: $25 - 48. Email manager@southernxsoloists.com or call 07 3735 6351

Southern Cross Soloists
, one of Australia's most popular and innovative chamber ensembles, opens its Showcase Series with its first-ever visual guest artist, photographer Timothy Ashton. Set the task of marrying his imaginative visual style to the hauntingly atmospheric music of James Ledger’s Abandoned Drive-In, Ashton has responded with an impressive series of photographs taken at an abandoned drive-in in Tivoli (Brisbane) which will be projected during the performance. Griffith REVIEW subscribers who receive the Griffith REVIEW newsletter are entitled to special give-aways of tickets. Email griffithreview@griffith.edu.au to sign up or subscribe now.

Griffith REVIEW will also be at the Sydney Writers' Festival later in May. Stay tuned for more details!
